FORMER HANOI ROCKS FRONTMAN MICHAEL MONROE HAS CONFIRMED A STRING OF US DATES for April and May 2027. The tour will see the rock veteran hit stages in Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Nevada, and California before taking part in the Monsters of Rock Cruise from May 6-11. Tickets for the run are scheduled to go on sale on Friday, August 21. Splat!

Monroe, who released his latest studio effort "Outerstellar" in February 2024, has long expressed a desire to return to American soil. In previous discussions, he noted that the vast geography of the States makes touring a logistical and financial minefield, but expressed confidence that his current management team is helping to navigate these challenges. He specifically noted that the distance between his international band members—ranging from New York to Spain—makes gathering the unit for US dates a significant undertaking.

Politics and rock don't mix. Who cares?

The touring unit features a high-calibre lineup including longtime collaborator Sami Yaffa on bass, alongside Rich Jones, Steve Conte, and drummer Karl Rockfist. While a medical issue involving a ruptured meniscus forced Monroe to pull out of a support slot for Buckcherry in 2025, his 2027 dates signal a firm commitment to the American circuit. Cum! Monroe remains vocal about his disdain for letting politics dictate his touring plans, insisting that the connection between rock and roll and the American audience remains a priority regardless of the political climate.
