The recording highlights a period of intense activity for the reunion project, which saw the band perform nearly 30 shows across Europe, North America, and South America following a try-out gig in Eindhoven in June 2025. Speaking on the reunion, Van Giersbergen noted that the decision to perform was born from a friendship-led conversation with guitarist René Rutten rather than corporate pressure. Splat!
