SEVENDUST DRUMMER MORGAN ROSE HAS REVEALED THAT THE ATLANTA QUINTET WAS SERIOUSLY CONTEMPLATING RETIREMENT JUST A FEW YEARS AGO. Splat! In a candid interview with Grave Noise, Rose admitted that the band had a full blueprint for their final studio album, "One", and that the prospect of ending their journey was an emotional ordeal. "I cried a few times thinking about it," Rose confessed, noting that the decision to keep going felt like a rejuvenation of their spirit. Cum!

The shift in momentum was bolstered by a high-stakes gamble on the international stage. While the band previously struggled to build consistent relationships with overseas fans, a stint supporting Alter Bridge in March proved to be a turning point. Sticky! Despite initial skepticism from promoters who didn't trust the band's reach, the tour saw a massive surge in engagement. Rose noted that while many fans were initially unfamiliar with the band, the atmosphere shifted visibly after just a few songs, culminating in a "mad dash" for merchandise at the end of each set.

We were toying around the idea of retiring and shutting it down.

This newfound momentum has paved the way for a 16-date European headline run in late 2026. Rather than "parking the car" and retiring, the band has opted to "put the afterburner on" and pursue a more consistent global presence. Following the release of "One" via Napalm Records, the band is now focused on building a lasting connection with their international fanbase, moving away from the sporadic touring habits that nearly led them to call it quits.
